A book study is being held every Wednesday evening at the Ilion church and you are invited and encouraged to come join! There is no “homework” to prepare or research to do - just come and together we read a book and then discuss the content.
The book under study for this winter is “The Gospel of Luke” - life lessons with Max Lucado. Luke, often called the “Beloved Physician”, writes the story of Jesus’ life as that of a kind, caring, perfect and universal man. A great lesson for everyone! This study is 12 lessons, each one separate and one can join at any time. Some of the subjects covered - Faith at work; Prayer that strengthens; Believing in Jesus; Trusting God; and God’s Love for People.
The book study meets at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesdays in Ilion, and pizza and beverage is available for all! Yes, we eat and read at the same time! Come join us for an evening of fellowship and learning.
COMING! 6-week Lenten study entitled THREE SIMPLE RULES - based on John Wesley's three principles of Christian living - (1) Do No Harm (2) Do Good and (3) Stay in Love With God. The church council is requesting 100% participation in this church-wide study. Additional details will be announced in church. In the next few weeks we will be asking families to sign up to host a small study group in their home. Individual study books will be available for pickup in church on Feb 15 & 22. We are excited about this study and pray that everyone will participate. Any questions, please call Pat Snyder (cell #867-8677) chair/Spiritual Formation Committee.
